Corigin Ventures

Corigin Ventures, a NYC-based seed stage firm, needed a web presence to capture their mission: to invest at the intersection of digital and physical worlds. As part of Corigin Real Estate group, their previous brand and website did not reflect their unique thesis and experience. Lightmatter led the Corigin Ventures team through a full branding exercise to design, develop, and launch their new website.

Defining A New Vision

Having an outstanding digital presence is critical for deal flow as a VC. Whether it’s a thoughtfully curated blog, a proven portfolio track record, or a crisp definition of the firm's value, having an articulate and opinionated brand makes all the difference in your firm's reputation.

Process and Plan

Articulating A Brand Voice

We began by learning about Corigin’s history as a VC. Interviewing the founding partners, associates, and other team members helped us understand their background, thought process, and overall approach to investing. We then assembled multiple design directions for the company centered around their core mission: every founder deserves transparent investors, strong foundations, and a supportive family. Whether investing in consumer, marketplace, or prop tech startups, Corigin’s brand reflects their history and focus on the founder.

Developing Strong Foundations

Our team then designed, developed, and launched Corigin’s new platform. We carefully focused on success metrics and analytics for the website, such as which pages, blog posts, and content were resonating with site visitors, and crafted subtle animations and experiences to delight and surprise them.
